Body Hair Removal

Sun Jan 20, 2002 7:34 pm

Just getting boreed here at home, so I thought I'd start a thread about this, I hope it's not too offensive  Smile

So does any of you guys, or girls for that matter perform this ritual? If yes, what is the best method - shaving, waxing, TV media products etc...

Shaving should be the least effective method because you will only make the hair thicker and coarser.

I'm interested also on how to remove the hair that grows naturally... is that permanent anyway?

I shave my under arm using a normal razor.I always put body lotion on afterwards so that it does not itch.

A male friend of mine used hair removing cream to get rid of his pubic hair and it was so strong that the skin in his groin region got burned, he had to be hospitalised for a day, never new it was that powerful, glad I never tried it Smile

DGone,

What an interesting topic considering it's just about Mardi Gras time here in SYD.

The easiest way to do it is to shave. Or use clippers, if you want to keep those nether regions in check. I'm not a hairy person so don't really have a problem.

But if you want those but cheeks shiny, the best course of action is to have someone shave it for you, LOL!!

Ha ha!

Cheers,

...had my back waxed once (the things we do for love).

AAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHH!

I'll just have to be monkey boy, and she'll just have to live with it.

But seriously, anyone out there ever try the laser hair removal? Sounds like BS to me.

Actually,

I think it makes you more of a man if you are willing to subject yourself to waxing and such.

Ouch!

Hairy backs are turn offs.

Cheers,

MB: LMAO!

A friend was at the house last summer, and asked "why is it that the hair that's not growing on my head anymore is growing on your back?"

Kinda classic.

Scuttler,

As the old saying goes, as it leaves the head it sprouts other places.

I forgot to mention people with excess nasal hair are disgusting - that is the most painful to pluck.

Ouch! My eyes are watering.

I always insist that my husband shaves his balls and c*** - just as I shave mine.

It is so horrible to have hair in your food............

I completely agree!!

However, I do remove the hair from my shoulders... not religiously, but occassionally... it just bugs me and I just don't think it looks flattering on me (although my partner thinks otherwise).

Ever heard of "Nad's" folks??? No, not those kind of 'nads, but rather the lime-green hair-removal product sold in drug stores. It's essentially sugar gel you smear on your unwanted hair, place a strip of cotton fabric over it, rub it a couple of times and then rip off. OUCH!! It works!! I like it better than waxing because it's a lot cheaper, it doesn't irritate my skin, and it achieves the very same results.

Shaving is out....the hair just grows back thicker.
I have tried using wax - it is not too easy.
I use a depilatory cream for my eyebrows....they meet in the middle, and I don't like it, although nobody notices as I wear glasses.I also like to keep my underarms clean - I use cream there as well.
I also use a hair retardant complex - I use it on my face a lot, as I think the growth in that area is too heavy. But I have not seen much of a change - the only thing is that it helps to moisturize - which is good.

I would like to try electrolysis some day to thin the hair growth on my face - it is just too thick and I wish it were more manageable.
