Who Buys Baseball Season Tickets?

Mon Jan 21, 2002 9:22 am

I don't know of any "person" who buys FULL season tickets, it's always a part of a company or something.

For me, 81 games + playoffs is a lot of baseball  Nuts

Yeah.

A family that my family is friends with own a business, so they aren't rich or anything..they pay for all the home night Red Sox games. Fenway is the most expensive park in baseball too.

Although he does sell some games to people, mostly because he can't go to all of them.

I think with the recent prices though he split them with his brother maybe though.

$55/seat where his are, it's insane.

I one considered getting season tickets to the yankees but then I thought to myself...all this money JUSt for the tickets, then what about all the money I'd be spending on transportation there, possibly parking, and also food. It is definitely not worth. So, to solve that I just go to a bunch of spring training games down in Tampa. I fly down for the day, have pretty damn close seatsfor about 1/4 the price of the equivalant in NY, get away from NJ for a little bit, and still pay less than I would if I went to see a game in the Bronx. It's so much better. I even got to sit right behind the dugout at one game.....for only $12..it's so nice. But it sure would be nice to have a nice season ticket plan...

Fenway Park is great! I'm not much of a fan, but the atmosphere in and around the park is top-notch. So much better than sterile parks...
