Challenge each and every attendee to solve a Partial Differential Equations problem.

This will put you into the Party History Books for years to come.

Is it a boy/girl party?

If so....
get plenty of good music. Try to ask your friends for a good sound system so the music is loud and good sounding.
Next get realy good food, lots of drinks, etc.
After see how many people you can have at one time.
Then make the cards or whatever to ask people if they can come.
Have the party.

Try not to invite more boys then girls if you can help it.

What kind of party?
Lots of booze/sex/drugs, or just a 'nice' church-like atmosphere party?

Whichever direction you choose to go, let your neighbours know if you're expecting more than a handful of guests. There's nothing like a bitchy neighbour spoiling the party by calling the cops.

Let's see...your age bracket indicates you're young...don't want to give you any ideas, but alcohol wouldn't be so good.

Here are some suggestions, based on what I like to do, in a dorm, at a house:

-movies (rent or go)
-cards (traditional cards or other card-type games like Uno/Phase 10/Loaded Questions, which btw is an awesome get-to-know-your friends-game.)
-go out to eat
-if you like what your Mom cooks, have your Mom cook your favorite meal!
-man hunt in the neighborhood

You'll definitely need the music, agree. A good system helps. Maybe ask them to bring their cds/cassettes too?

We are having a party
Dancing to the music
Played by the D.J.
On the radio

The cokes are in the ice box
Popcorn's on the table
Me and my baby
We're out here on the floor

So mister, mister D.J.
Keep those records playing
'Cause we're having such a good time
Dancing with my baby

Havin' a party
Everybody's swinging, dancing to the music
On the radio

Sally's doing that twist
If you take requests
I've got a few for you
Play that song called "Shot gun"
Play that one called "My girl"
Don't forget them
No other song will do

Havin' A Party
(Sam Cooke)

I think that you should have Superfly and myself attend. Between my sound system and both of our knowledge of music, you won't be disappointed.

You guys know absolutely nothing about throwing a party.

The first, and the most important thing to do is the afternoon of the party go and tell you neighbors about the party, and tell them if there is a disturbance come over find me and we will sort it immediately. This will prevent neighbors from calling the police.

Second section off you house into areas guests are allowed and guest are not allowed. Maybe no guest upstairs, or where the new carpet is. Put everything that is worth anything up in the areas. In the area where people are allowed have a couple chairs, old sofa, etc. This way things of importance are not stolen. I suggest blocking of the upstairs this way no one is shagging in your bed.

You need some drinks. I am not sure if alcohol is on the bill, but if it is try and get a keg, or the same amount in cans. Make sure they are chilled by the time the party starts. Also most people will bring some booze, try and encourage it.

I would not let people smoke indoors. This is because your parents will smell it and you might get burns on the carpet which are a real menis. Put ash trays outside and have signs on your wall.

As already mentioned make sure you have a sound system, with some good dance music.

Do not drink yourself, this way you can actually think if the police come round, or things are getting out of hand. Also have a story if the police come around, the best one I heard was we where filming for a school project, it is the only time we did not have the party broken up.

Spread the word on Friday lunchtime. Before then people will forget it, after then the will have plans.

Make sure you a couple big friends who will not drink and make sure everyone is in order. If you are charging to get they can collect the money. Also they will guard the area you blocked off.

Make sure you have you cell phone (or you could go to the neighbors house) as if things get out of hand, go outside, or into a area where no one else is around and call the police. They will break up the party, only use this as a last resort.

Rent one of those steam cleaning vacumes, and some stain remover. This a bit of planning ahead.

Well that is all I can think of right now.

Iain, you are some piece of work. This kid is 13-15. I bet his parents will be home...

"Hello boys"
"Hello Mrs Smith"
"Is that beer you brought?"
"Why yes it is"
"Get the hell out of my house"

I would not be too sure. Freshman used to throw (well get talked into letting people throw parties at their house) a lot of parties when their parents went out of town.
