How would you say the following names?

Dawas and Payano?

Dawas- I heard people say Dahs, and Da-Was.
I like saying it Da-Was. Is it french?
Its my professor's name and I have no idea how to say it.

Payano-Pay-a-no, Pa-ya-no? Italian I guess

Dawas would be pronounced Dawas.

Payano is a bit trickier, probably best done phonetically - P -A - Y - A - N - O.

You're only as good as your last departure.

Just ask the guy(?). It's better to be a little embarrassed now, than be humiliated when you mangle his name in class.

I think the latter name is probably pronounced Pay-AH-no. I know someone with a similar name.

Yea, our principal's name is Dr. (Mrs) Djoudi. CAN you pronounce that? (pronounced JEW-AH-DI like a Jew driving an AUDI)no offense yo. But we call her Dr. D.
