How Do You Say Word?

Hi Guys-

Most people say word "Almond" is wrong pronounce. I say word "A'mend". If you don't believe this. Look it up dictionary. It's french word. Never say "L" do not say "al-mond". It's very strange to say it.

Well, all the hoity-toity chefs pronounce it as though it were "amande," which I believe is "almond" in French.

So if Almond is A'mend would that make Walnut Wa'nut?
