Knobs Vs. Handles

Sun Feb 24, 2002 2:43 pm

Ok, before anyone tries to be funny, let's get this out of the way.

Do you have a preference between knobs and handles? I surely prefer handles. Here's why:

-knobs are just boring.
-knobs tend to break
-knobs are ugly
-knobs aren't stylish (yeah, I'm sure there are some cool knobs around, but in general)

-handles give you a firmer grip
-handles are attached at 2 points rather than 1, making them more stable.
-handles in general are more versatile

Sure, there are some downsides to handles...

-you can get your hand stuck in the handle
-wood handles can give you splinters if not maintained properly (the onus here, of course, is on the owner for proper maintainance)
-you have to wrap your hand around the handle where with knobs you can just grab

Right now my dresser has knobs.  Sad They were cheaper.

Mine are handles...and you're right they are more stable.

Handles of course. Knobs are always falling off. I hate them.

I'm afraid Handles wins, just so much easier!
