I'm talking about the air of superiority that Americans tend to have around them.

Oh, we're back to that again.

I have enjoyed the Olympics immensely. I have enjoyed watching ALL the countries compete and yes, win.

Congratulations Canada. I very well deserved and earned win.

Btw, Gretzky's wife is VERY hot. And the chick holding the tray with the gold medals was also a total fox.

I thought the reffing could have been a little better as Canada got away with a few things, but all in all that was one heck of a game.

Congrats to my northern neighbors. It was a great game.

I hope Turino 2006 turns out this way except the USA winning gold  Big thumbs up

It could have been so great for the US team if they won olympic gold against Canada in their own country, the players looked really sad at the ceremony.
But probably the pressure was too much for them.
Anyway it was a great match and congratulations to Canada.

Trust me, there was way more pressure on Canada. 97 % of people in the US don't care about hockey, in Canada it is the inverse. I'm heading for the party on Yonge Street now  Smile WOOHOO!!!!

Even tho many players were complaining on the high altitude in SLC.

Still, it was a great game.

CP, I think more american people then 97% watch Hockey. Most NHL teams are in the US and only like 3 in Canada.

Just because there are more NHL teams doesn't mean more people care about hockey (there are six in Canada BTW). It just means it makes more financial sense to operate a professional hockey franchise in the US. Football is #1, Baseball #2, Basketball #3, hockey is lucky if it is the fourth most popular sport, but I'll bet NASCAR has more fans.

I feel that all the Canucks should be tested for drug use.

What is sad is that most Americans don't give a flip about hockey. Personally, I love it. I am an administrator for a Dallas Stars message board. While Canada wildly celebrates their gold medal, most Americans will be indifferent about the whole thing. Most people I know don't even understand the sport.

I was at work the other day when USA played Russia twenty-two years to the day of the "Miracle on Ice" for the right to go to the gold medal game, and the guys wanted to watch Don't Say a Word on DVD instead. I just shook my head and walked away.

The Westminster Dog Show pulls down better ratings than the Stanley Cup Finals in America. I'm not kidding; it happened when Dallas won the Cup. Sad but true.

Congrats again to Canada.

This olympic victory is well deserved for the country that created the sport of ice hockey. A heartfelt congratulations to all Canadians and to all fans of Team Canada.
