Something Good For A Change In Middle East

Tue Feb 26, 2002 4:34 pm

Here's a nice story I saw on Yahoo today.

Salaam, a 10-months-old Palestinian baby found abandoned at birth in a roadside heap of garbage, rests in her crib at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem Monday Feb. 25, 2002. Salaam, whose name means "peace" in Arabic, was rescued by Palestinian doctors, fed and strengthened by a group of Catholic nuns and her tiny defective heart repaired by an Israeli surgeon. Amazing, you all ignore the good and focus on the bad.

Outstanding! Ship the kid to Finland today. Have him raised by reindeer herders. No tv. No Internet. Give him the Bible, the Koran, the Torah...and the biography of Gandi. Then, when he's thirty, return him to the 'Holy Land'.

And have all parties involved in the Arab/Israeli conflict sign a paper today that whatever he says goes.
