New Airliners.net Discussion Boards?

Tue Mar 26, 2002 1:20 pm

After having followed these boards for a while now, I've come up with a few new discussion groups that should be added for clarification. Here they are:

- Boeing vs. Airbus
- Everyone vs. France
- Teen Post-o-Rama
- The CryRoom (rejected photos)
- YAJ (Yell at Johan)
- Broken English (aka "spellcheck is for wimps")
- The 757 and the Pentagon, Where is She?

Anything I missed?

DISCLAIMER: The above mentioned post is not intended for serious consideration. It is intended to induce feelings of euphoria, happiness and cause the face to wince up in a grimace often referred to as a "smile." (Example ---->  Smile) It, by no means, is intended to insult, embarrass or harm any age group, race, religion, creed, or physical handicap. In other words: "All in good fun." Loosen the pucker and have fun with a few good laughs at ourselves.

I don't think I've seen a more realistic and full of truth post on here!! Couldn't have said it better... (smiles, euphoric feelings, feelings of fancy and sheer joy are being felt now).

I especially like the teen post o rama board... no offense to the kids here, as I was a kid not too long ago with googly eyes for aviation. But now that I am an aviation professional, I can only hope I had more thought, intelligence and correct grammer in my posts as an aviation enthusiast.

A couple more...

- Too Lazy to do a SEARCH
- I Hate XXX Airline For ANY Reason
- Defending the Airline I Work For (even if I'm wrong)
- No Sense of Humour or Consistantly Bitter

What's another word for thesaurus?

Defending the Airline I Work For (even if I'm wrong)

They don't have to work for an airline, even (eg, certain members from Belgium who defends KE at every chance, certain members from the UK who do the same with SQ, etc...)

Right On!

Tue Mar 26, 2002 5:08 pm

This Civil Aviation Board has turned into Spotter.Net in my opinion. O' God and do not dare complain about it either, because every "Kiddy pilot" and airliners.net malcontent will flame you for weeks over it.

Your post is right on the mark however and you basically summed up the Civil Aviation forum perfectly. My guess is the little prima donnas will not however, appreciate your candor and the flaming will begin shortly.

May I remind you this forum is for "Civil Aviation related posts only."

TechRep, does this phrase look remotely familiar to you?

"If it's happening in commercial aviation, you'll get the info and opinions here first. Home of thousands of users, enthusiasts and industry professionals, together making this the most active and fact filled aviation forum online. Join our ranks, you won't be disappointed."

If you don't like spotters GO NOW. There is at least one spotter who has done well in aviation circles. His name? Sir Michael Bishop, chairman of bmi.

A Miami forum would be good (for a certain poster anyway). How about "Every airline in the world should be at Miami since Miami has the second largest community of every country/state/province/prefecture/county/state/dictatorship/planet in the universe". My guess after reading these numerous posts is that the population of greater Miami must now be around 30 billion crammed into South Florida.

There's always : The USA is the root of all evil, was created by Satan to lure innocent children away, and is responsible for every single mishap or mistake made by anyone at any point in time, yet they do nothing to help when these mishaps or mistakes occour so the rest of the world should nuke them. All Americans are flaming idiots that need to be drug out into a street and shot. That one is a huge one that you missed...

I did forget to mention in my previous post that Miami must also have the second largest population of residents from Hell as of any anywhere. That's ok though since I'm sure the transplanted person from DUS will agree that they pay the highest price of anybody to get there.

I have a new one:

- Final Exit

This is the group where people post messages like:

"That's it! This is my last post/upload to A.net! My grainy, washed out, poorly focussed image of a Southwest 737 got rejected for the 28th time! Screw you guys, I am going to wingsandthings.org!"

The "US Airlines are horrible, because I'm from Europe or Asia and would rather pay two or three times as much in airfare for young gorgeous FAs and good food, and who answer the call button in 5 seconds, rather than having average-looking FAs who answer calls in maybe a minute" forum.

How about an

"Im a middle aged jerk who hates kids, spends his afternoons at his crappy job surfing the net, and loves making fun of kids cause "he knows everything about the world""

Forum. Okay, that was a little harsh. Its just that often, people won't take anyone seriously if they are in the 16-21 year age group, and it upsets me that adults can be so immature. Well anyway most of the adults on here are cool, and this only applies to a select few. BTW this topic is funny a hell.

This is definetly one of the funniest topics I have ever come across on airliners.net. I thought it was all true until I read the Everyone vs. France Forum idea. This is hilarious.  Big thumbs up

We also can't forget

The Religious vs. Non-Religious Forum

The Republicans vs. Democrats vs. Socialists vs. Communists vs. Anarchists vs. Communist/Socialist/Republican/Democrat/Anarchist Who is Pretending to be Independent Forum

The 'This photo Is AWESOME' Forum

The Marijuana and Illegal Drugs Should be Legalized Forum

The Flamebait Forum

Those are my ideas. All seem to come up quite a bit. I still like the Everyone vs. France idea the best though.  Smile
