A Quick Cure For 'Delhi Belly'?

Wed Apr 03, 2002 10:36 pm

Damn. Ate some 'not-so-fresh' fish last night and the fallout is literally causing me a nightmare today at work  Big thumbs up

Are there quick-working cures (besides immodium) to relieve my anguish?  Big thumbs up

(Damn! Gotta go again.....  Sad )

When I went to Delhi, I drank some weird coconut drink off the street. I drank Sprite all day and it was cured.

Dilute it massively. Drink tons of water. (Clean water).

I dumped at the gybe mark in strong winds when I looked up at a Porter Q400 on finals. Can't stop spotting.

Drink lots and lots of fluids, but clear fluids. Like water, apple juice, etc. You just have to fight through it, let your system clean itself up. That's what its doing. As much as its not...erm....clean for you  Laugh out loud

Yes, make sure you don't get dehydrated as that will make you feel even worse!

A lot of people don't realise that they are losing a lot of water when they have a dodgy belly!!

I would question the advice of the person that suggested coconut milk, Coconut is a natural laxitive. Try drinking a few of those on the beach in RIO and you will be on the toilet all day

Why "besides immodium"? That stuff works!
I was on a ski trip that me and another guy got sick. I had the worst case of the squirts in the history of mankind. Immodium AD shut it down cold. And the other guy's as well. Make sure you follow the directions to take a larger first dose, then as needed.
Good luck and wash your hands!

Not what can be done about the 'rhea (In medicine, referred to as LB (liquid-butt?). But I recommend not sneezing in front of women.
