Computer Help Please...

Hello,

Last night I was downloading a landfile for Airpro2000, and after it was completed, a box popped up asking me what program i wanted to use to open the file with. For some reason I chose AOL, and when I went back to download the file again, after not working the first time, it gave me a message explaining that AOL cannot support this file, instead it opened a text file. I would like help on how to change this, possibly go back to the first step and change how the file is opened.

You can do two things. Hold down the shift key and click on the right mouse button on the file. Click on "open with" and click the program in what you want to open it.

or

Click on:
My computer
Folder options
File types
search for the certain extension
then click on edit
then you will see an little screen with "actions"
click on open and then the edit button. remove everything and it won't open it in some program

I hope this info is usefull, otherwise let me know and try to make it either, more clear or I try to think of a another option.

Quick question. Why do you want to open it?

If you want the landfile for airpro 2000, put the landfile in the main file where the airpro 2000 program is, and then next time you load the game just change the landfile you want to use in game (there should be an option).

Thanks anyway Gr325, but your advice does not seem to work.

EGGD, actually I would like to just download the file again; I don't believe the file even exists on my computer anymore, but AOL will not allow me to downlaod it.

Was it when you are trying to download it, or after you had downloaded it that you tried to open it. Because if you just double clicked on the file you wouldn't be able to open it with any programs.
