I Have Mold!

Sun Apr 14, 2002 5:09 pm

I was going to get all dressed up and put on my satin Canucks jacket but I found mold growing on it! How can I get rid of the mold and not ruin the jacket? Don't suggest bleach since the jacket is black. Thanks!

My wife suggested you start by hanging it out in the sun for a while....but, hey, you're in Vancouver - I'll ask her again.
Cheers

Try some Hydrochloric Acid....it won't bleach it, it'll just burn it all off!  Smile/happy/getting dizzy (I know somebody who actually followed this advice once...stupid stupid... Insane)

Liquid nitrogen, freeze the little guys to death. of course it might be hard to wear a jacket that's hard as a rock!

Check your other stuff for mold too.

Don't listen to these prankster with their harmful suggestions.

My advice is to wear the moldy attire as is.
Believe me, nobody will notice. Or you can wear it inside out.
You're only as good as your last departure.

TNboy....good one!
I dumped at the gybe mark in strong winds when I looked up at a Porter Q400 on finals. Can't stop spotting.

Seriously though, speak to a dry cleaner. They may be able to get it out for you, but check first whether or not they can, or what you can do.

I would LOVE to hang it out in the sun, but A) This neighborhood is not that great and B) I haven't seen the sun for 2 days!
Only a pair of my sandals has mold. Everything else is fine. Someone might notice white spots on a black jacket.....

If the jacket is worth it, speak to a professional cleaner.
