Wanting The Name Of A Song, Please

Sat Apr 20, 2002 3:04 pm

Hi, just a quick question really - there is a song that goes something along the lines of 'You got the music in you'. It is used in a Nissan advertisement here in Australia (and in New Zealand as well). Can someone please tell me what it is called, and who sings it, because I have drawn a complete blank, and my mates havent been able to enlighten me either!

Cheers

I haven't seen the commercial, but I'm pretty sure you're talking about:

How about the one I heard on the radio today, with some lyrics about "Blue suede shoes" then "touch down...." and something about getting "ready to fly".

thanks,
...Serge

'Put on my blue suede shoes and I boarded the plane,
Touched down in the land of...........'I forget the rest but it's Walking In Memphis by Mark Cohn-or the cover version by Cher.

I think the best way to find the name of a song quickly is by typing some of the lyrics you know in google. Chances are that you'll find the complete lyrics and the title in the first results page. Then, you open Kazaa and search for that one  Smile

There's a song, it's pop/rock, it is from the early to late 1990s, I've been trying very hard to find it. All I can think of it is it ends with "Can't you see that there's no world no more" or something like that, help!

Is anyone familiar with that Mitsubishi commercial with that catchy techno/club/house tune? It shows these twentysomething people riding in a mitsubishi on some city boulevard at night dancing and just enjoying the dance beat. The girl in the front passenger seat is sitting there waving her arms and dancing side to side while sitting.

That tune is really catchy, and probably techno/house fans would know it. What song is it? By whom?

I noticed this commercial usually comes on at night, usually during Jay Leno or Politically Incorrect.

OK guys...whilst we are on music in TV commercials....here's one for you.

The PT Cruiser ad down here has a song which sounds so much like Alanis Morisette.....does anyone know what this song is? Email to Chrysler Australia has not done any good.

You'll have to tell us more Aviasiya.ru. For some reason Alanis Morrissette doesn't seem to scream (no pun intended) "car commercials". Her lyrics are usually too deep for that.

Give us some lyrics.

I've actually had one stuck in my head lately that's driving me nuts...

I'm sure these aren't the words but....

"Night, tonight......video and video".....

It's from the 80's.
