Roberto Baggio Re-enters End Makes 2 Goals

Mon Apr 22, 2002 12:31 am

After the surgery on his knee and despite his age, Roberto Baggio today has re-entered a football match (Brescia-Fiorentina).

3 mins later he made his first goal, and then another one!!!!

Roberto Baggio is kool!!!

Brescia is GREAT!!!!

Final result:
BRESCIA-FIORENTINA 3-0

P.S.: Juventus won, Roma and Inter made equal.

Now
Inter 66 pts
Juventus 65 pts
Roma 64 pts.

I'll never forget this moment as a kid, and I don't even remember exactly what it was.

I was watching a soccer match, think it was world cup. Roberto Baggio is coming up to make a penalty shot, critical for Italy that he makes it...he kicks it and Woosh! Goes right over the goal, he falls to his knees and puts his hands to his head.

Anybody knows what I'm talking about?

F. Pier, is Baggio going to make the World Cup squad?

Good question Banco.

This is the question that everyday our TV News and newspaper make.

Today I've heard of it on TV, too.

Who knows!?!??! It's up to Trapattoni!!!

I hope so. Missing a decisive penalty in the World Cup final - I dread to think how that must prey on his mind. It's bad enough over here for Chris Waddle, Stuart Pearce (Italia '90 semi-final) and Gareth Southgate (Euro '96 semi final). It would be nice for him to get a chance to exorcise the ghosts.

Mind you, you lot in Italy are as bad at penalties as we are!

F. Pier, I remember now. I'm not one who watches soccer (or football) too much, but that was one of the best matches I'd seen. That was a very nervous moment right there!

Tbar I have to disagree with you - the '94 Final has to be one of the most boring games ever! Penalties are exciting (for a neutral) but an awful way to decide a mach.

I think Italy are just as well versed in it as we are, Lowsonboy! Interestingly, Luca Vialli suggested that the two countries should have a penalty shoot-out at the end of their recent friendly in order to get some practice in, because we're both inept! Big grin
