Tue May 07, 2002 2:36 am

Hi folks, that was my first flight:
From FCO (Rome) to GVA (Geneve) with Alitalia on board of a DC-9 in June 1976.

TWA- GSO or RDU-STL-LNK for a funeral...I hardly remember anything but running in the airport...I have a vage memory of STL having a very red interior, and an even vaguer memory of the prop we flew to LNK in, and how I could move the thin walls of the cabin...They had little decorative marks on the walls. Why I remember that, I don't know.

My first flight was from Winnipeg to Los Angeles via Vancouver on CP Air, in March or April of 1979. We took a 737 westbound, then a 727 southbound.

I remember a few details from the trip: looking out the window on take-off, trying to spot my house; the interior of the 737 having koala bears and other images on the walls; a smiling flight attendant offering me a chocolate-covered cherry off a silver platter, which was supposted to be reserved for First Class passengers; passing over a freeway clover leaf on approach to LAX.

The first one I remember was PDX-RNO-LAX on PSA MD-83 in 1986. My first official flight was on a Cessna 172 when I was 2.

A Wardair 707 YYZ-LGW in 1970, at the age of 6.

Yup, I lost my flight virginity early. Very early. Yup.

I dumped at the gybe mark in strong winds when I looked up at a Porter Q400 on finals. Can't stop spotting.
