Have You Ever Met An "Angel"?

Sat May 11, 2002 11:45 am

What I mean is, have you ever met and fallen in love with someone who is way beyond your reach? Someone who fits the term "Out of my league"?

The way I see it, doing so has two sides. You are shown an example of what a person can be, yet you are forced to raise you standards above what you may be able to achieve...

Sweet and sour, bitter sweet, etc.

Quite a few times actually, and most of those time's I've ended up getting them afterall, and most of those times, quickly realized they might be angels, but the opposite of the type that come from above!  Big thumbs up

Well, Flyf15, I understand what you are saying.

But I'm talking about the kind of woman that Jack Nicholson saw in Helen Hunt in As Good As It Gets.

Jack had a line in the movie that goes something like this:

You make me want to be a better man.

I'm talking that kind of woman. One that inspires you. One that makes you want to give up all of the B.S. that you now call "fun"....

I gave that up years ago TWA L1011. If they don't like what I am, they're not worth my time.

Married her, actually. She still can't see the "raised standards", unfortunately.) Only joking, she's a wonderful lady, and we've been married a long time. Haven't had a major argument yet, but that's probably only because she is an angel, and because I'm just so cute and helpful and easy to be with and all...(well, you did say they would get us to raise our standards!)
Cheers

Yes I agree with someone that makes you strive for better in life, but loves you for who you are.
I can think of a particular example of mine too...
