Here are the best nexrad based radar sites on the net:
- The absolute best, hands down. Subscription, however. You get all the goodies, Radial Velocity, VAD, VIL, 4 base reflectivity tilts, etc, etc...You also get a storm timer and a storm table. These show the direction and speed at which an individual cell is moving. You can also get information on cloud bases, tops, POH (probability of hail), POSH (probability of severe hail), max hail size, and TVS (tornado vortex signature) MESO alerts. This is the only site I use while I am storm chasing.
- Decent, free radar, no bells and whistles.
- Decent, but the radar is only updated about every 10 minutes. The other sites I mentioned update anywhere between 2-3 minutes.
