Another Aviation Related Media Blunder

Sat Jun 22, 2002 4:28 am

Readers in the UK might have noticed this hilarious mistake in today's edition of the Daily Mirror about how the England players relatives were when they arrived in Japan.

Here's the section of the quote:

"There was no mistaking Aron Scholes when he jetted into Japan yesterday tp spur on his dad in today's match. The three-year-old gingernut was a minitiare version of midfielder Paul, complete with tiny England shirt. Aron was among 91 of the players relatives who arrived ahead of the tie.

He shyly held mum Claire's hand as he walked into the arrivals hall at Tokyo's Nakata airport.

WTF!!!  Nuts

How did they confuse Japanese footballer Heditoshi Nakata with Tokyo Narita? I nearly fell off my sofa reading that!! Big grin

Oh well, japanese names are not the easiest to pronounce, but still, a rather funny error by the media!
