Why Do Palestinians Surrender

If Arafat says that all of his people will resist the Zionist occupation then why do thousands of them including terrorists and soldiers surrender.

Over history the Arabs say many things but runaway after.
In the 6 day war in 1967 the arab commanders (I think it was Egypt) would chain their soldiers to the cannons to prevent them from running away when the israeli army would come. And the commanders would run away!!!

Arafat should be put on a ship with all his other terrorist comrads and put in the middle of the ocean.

Australian coast watchers did not run away. These brave men stayed behind and worked with the local population and they caused havoc to the Japanese.
They saved many lives and earned the gratitude of the United States.
Sometimes its better to cut and run and return another day. Thank you General Mac Arthur.

As far as Palestinians running away, probably the same thinking. But remember, you can run, but you can't hide. It is one thing to be on the winning side and quite another to be on the loosing side.

The Australian fleet ran away without fighting they got one look at that Japanese fleet and said um no back to Darwin with us and left it for Americans to do. The coast watchers did not fight they told the Americans were to fight. Australia owes it's existence to America.

The ones who stayed behind to cover the retreat of the Aussie fleet in WW2 were the Dutch (with some support from the Brits). They got slaughtered but took a good portion of the Japanese battlefleet with them and gave the US Navy and Aussies time to get to Australia to regroup.

ADG? generalisations in history? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Onto the actual topic.....

Palestinains surrender because they know the israeli army is far more powerful then they could ever be, surrending also shows them to the great idiots as poor old freedom fighters.
It is amazing what can be accomplised when nobody takes the credit
