I attended Ted Williams baseball camp near Springfield Massachusets when I was a kid, him and Joe Dimaggio are my all time favorite ball players.

Ted Williams missed two years of baseball so he could fight in WWII and the Korean War as a Marine Corps fighter pilot.

Ted Williams was a man's man, he will be missed.

The "Splendid Splinter" is one of the all time greats. Not only as a baseball player, but as a man. When I heard the news this morning, I felt like someone punched me in the gut. 99/9% of the time, when someone famous kicks, I could care less, because they wouldn't care about me if I bought it, but Teddy ballgame was a very good man as well. Wherever he was, his presence could be felt. He will be missed and baseball as a whole has suffered yet another tragic loss this season.

R.I.P. Ted Williams
