Ibiza/Iberia?

Sun Aug 11, 2002 4:54 am

Hey, I am heading off to ibiza next saturday, and was wondering what to expect from the island? Basically anything, like temps(air, water), prices, fun things to do, and how long should i stay to get the best out of the island. Also, do you think i will be able to non rev on Iberia, on one of their 13 or so Barcelona flights. If not, how much do ferrys cost, and what are the schedules like. Also, how full do Madrid-Barcelona, and Ibiza-Barcelona flights tend to be. All of the flights we are planning on taking have high frequencies, so I imagine we'll be able to get out. How much do you think Id90's run on these flights. Thanks for all your help! Ive researched my trip a decent bit, and wasnt able to find out much about my above questions, so i appreciate your helps and responses.

P.S. I plan on doing a detailed trip report with tons of pics, if i ever find out how to post pictures on a trip report. Cya

Hello, we have an apartment in Ibiza, we go there quite often. Ibiza is my favourite place in the world, it's amazing...the scenery, the people, the food...you'll have a great time and I look forward to seeing your piccys. When you write a trip report could you let me know in here? I don't often go to the trip reports page.

All the best

Lots of Gay bars in Ibiza too. you may be interested if you're tired of girls (but I doubted that you'll lose your interests towards chics!).  Big thumbs up

All I've heard of Ibiza is that the entire island is a big tourist trap and not much more.
Probably further inland where the hotel staff lives there may be something of interest (those people need to have something to do in their spare time, right?).

For food, try real Spanish food (so not the regurgitated stuff pushed to tourists which is Dutch/German/British food prepared with Spanish ingredients).
I've been in Spain several times, always avoiding the tourist areas. It's a great country, if you can muster enough patience to wait for 'manana'  Smile/happy/getting dizzy
I wish I were flying

Ibiza is not a 'tourist trap'. If you go to the places where there are not many tourists it is an amazing island. Ibiza is a lot more than just the nightlife, it is the people, the culture, the gastronomy, and it is wonderful.
