How Do You Say Kroc?

Mon Sep 23, 2002 2:50 am

Hi guys,

How do you say KROC? Do you say each individual letter; K-R-O-C, or do you say it as a word (like CROCodile Dundee)?

Good!

I was thinking about that a couple of weeks ago as well!! So far I've seem it as one sylable as in CROCodile.

I guessed it might be the other way as a lot of radio stations in the US are K--- (aren't they?)

Well down here in Orange County, (SoCal), we have a radio station called KROQ, or as they say it "K-ROCK.." Whenever I see KROC i think of K-ROCK the radio station. I think you say K-R-O-C though..i dont know just ask KROC.

I know how to REALLY say it, just wondering how you guys do. I don't know why you say 'K-ROC' though, surely if you say 'ROC' which is supposed to be 'R-O-C' you might as well say the K with it too....

oh well!

Hurricane and BeefMoney know what is up. K-ROCK. It sounds better, and flows smoother that way. Glenn, good thing I'm not in Australia. I'd have to change some rules of language. LH423. Too bad your post was at the bottom, and I got stuck reading it. Another 10 seconds of my life I'll never get back again.

For those of you who don't know K-Rock (Kay Rock) is a radio station in New York... that may be why some of us call him that.

TB, if they ever changed LAX's name to something else (Bradbury Int. / James Hahn Int. / Davis Int.  Insane )
THEN you could call me Ex-Lax International  Big grin

But for the moment its K-L-A-X
