I take money out of the ATM $100 at a time. With my busy schedule I have to eat out all the time and that costs $$$ so I lose it quickly.

£0. I'm poor. I exist via Mastercard and Visa, and try to hide under the sofa when the bill arrives in a parcel each month.

Usually around Lm 5 (= about 12.50 USD), a Bank of Valletta Cashlink card and HSBC Quikcash card, not to mention the SMGB Smart Card. Loads of small change.

Since the term "money" includes all forms of payment (including credit cards), I have $99,873 dollars in my wallet. Cash is low right now, only $34.00.

Why the hell do I have a $100K credit card when I use it to buy gas?

I rely mainly on my debit card and therefore usually don't carry much cash. Only on fairly rare occasions will I have more than $60 or so.

I usually try to carry somewhere between 10-40 $ plus my debit card. I'm kind of poor, so 40 is a rarity, and if I do have forty, that means I have some need that I'll have to spend it on, so it never lasts.  Sad

Incidentally, I found pictures of my banking cards online, too  Laugh out loud
This is my Bank of Valletta card (actually mine has a slightly different design being a BOV Club - Students' Card):

This is my HSBC card:

This is my Students' Maintenance Grants Bureau (Stipend) card:

As can be seen, debit cards are a popular way of payment here in Malta.

This is a great thread. I now know precisely who to bother mugging, and who can safely walk the streets.

Depends on what day of the week it is. By typically I carry between $20-$40 in my wallet. Right now, I've got a whopping $1 in my wallet; spent $37 on my monthly supply of drugs (legal ones mind you, I haven't done any illegal drugs in over 16 months!), spent the money that I normally have until my next check on that. I put most of my weekly check into the bank, and keep the rest for myself (gas, booze, porn, etc.).

I carry 20 Argentina pesos - about US$6.00 to satisfy the thief who wants my wallet when I walk at night - the rest is plastic, he will not get far with that, sorry for him, I am a bad choice for a street robber.

usually like $50 and my credit card. I made an exception last month though and walked around with $900 in cash for a couple of weeks just for the feel of it. Or actually it was $900 on day 1 and it decreased steadily until there as nothing left. It won't happen again though, the money is safer on the bank i figured  Smile/happy/getting dizzy
