Champions League Round!

Tue Oct 29, 2002 9:28 pm

Yep, it's that time of the week again. Here are the matches which will be played this week. Anyone feel like guessing the outcome?

Juventus - Feyenord
Newcastle - Dynamo
Leverkusen - Olympiakos
M. Haifa - Man United
Deportivo L.C - Bayern M.
Lens - Milan
Club Brugge - Barcelona
Galatasaray - Lokomotiv M.

My guesses are:

Juventus - Feyenord 3-1
Newcastle - Dynamo 1-1
Leverkusen - Olympiakos 2-3
M. Haifa - Man United 2-4
Deportivo L.C - Bayern M. 2-1
Lens - Milan 1-3
Club Brugge - Barcelona 0-1
Galatasaray - Lokomotiv M. 2-1

Place your bets.  Smile

The M Haifa v. Man U game should be interesting as they are going to be lots of changes (something like 6 or 7 I believe) to the Utd team that played on Saturday. I wouldn't be too surprised if this match ended in a draw.

Hopefully Bayern will be finally thrown out of the cup. My dream is Lens wins vs. Milan and Bayern loses vs. La Coruna - Bayern not even in the UEFA Cup, that would be great  Big grin

My suspicion is that Man Utd wil let Maccabi Haifa win to try and eliminate Bayer Leverkusen

Great result for Lens who won 2-1 against Milan AC. After their victory over Deportivo last week they have a real chance to advance to the second round.

So, your dream, Racko, which was mine too, has come true - YESSSS! And Dortmund will follow tonight.

Normally Arsenal would slaughter Dortmund, but tonight Borussia have a good chance to win because Arsenal are playing terribly at the moment. I think it will be a draw though.

Sorry, I see I was misunderstood (my fault): I meant Dortmund will follow Leverkusen tonight into the 2d round. You see, where I´m living (at least half of the time) it would be downright suicidal to be against the BVB.
