I attended the Eagles-Colts game yesterday at Veterans Stadium, and it had to be the worst played game by the Eagles that I've ever witnessed. They just played horrible on all sides of the ball, and made James Mungro and Reggie Wayne look like they were superstars. Marvin Harrison always had at least 3 or 4 steps on Troy Vincent and made it look like a piece of cake. Don't even get me started on Andy Reid and clock management. With about 30 some seconds to go in the first half there was confusion about what play to call, and McNabb was just doing circles around the line waiting for something from the sideline, but they all just looked at each other. They even had two timeouts left and didn't use them! Instead, they let the clock run way down to the half. It started to look like a Phillies game by the middle of the 3rd quarter because about 3/4 of the sold out stadium left. I'm the biggest Eagles fan, don't get me wrong, as a still think the Bowl is in their future this year, but this was the worst game I've ever seen played. I just had to vent a little of my frustration. Hopefully we'll bounce back from this next week.
Also, if any of you know about the famed "700 level" at Veterans Stadium, it amazes me how people can be so dumb as to wear an opposing teams' jersey, go up there and taunt a bunch of half drunk Eagles fans who you are out-numbered by a ratio of about 4,000 to 1. If you don't bother them, they won't bother you. They don't care if you are rooting for your team, but if there not doing anything to you, and you start throwing stuff and trying to pick a fight, that's just asking for trouble. I do get embarrassed for the reputation of Eagles fans when they beat up on someone for no reason though, because that's just plain stupid. Usually it's Eagles fans beating up each other. This all makes for good off field entertainment, as usually the whole stadium turns and watches. I was sitting in the 3rd row of the 500 level, so your really close to all of it.
