Nokia 5510 & Windows XP

Wed Nov 27, 2002 9:07 am

I just purchased a 5510, and installed the software. However, when trying to transfer music, the program cannot detect the 5510 even though Windows XP Home Service Pack 1 can.

Is the Nokia Audio Manager compatible with XP? If not, then what software is and can I transfer files using Windows Explorer onto the "Removeable drive" F:?

Thanks

Ugh, the Nokia 5510 is as ugly as shit, I don't believe your taste is that bad. Nokia Audio Manager should be compatible with XP, if not, just right click the program icon, select Properties, then Compatability and change it to Windows 98/Me.

Remember, do not trust the "Compatibility" settings to work for you everytime; it is there only to make you happy.

Ah thank you.

However, I sorted it out this morning.

I just unplugged and plugged the USB plug a few times. Instead of a USB Mass Storage Device, the Nokia 5510 is an Internet Storage Device or something.

It's weird but it's worked and I don't think I'm going to change anything. Nokia should have had a patch out. For shame!
