Golf At Disney World

Sun Dec 15, 2002 8:03 am

I have a holiday planned for Orlando this coming April, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how good the golf is down there. Looking at the price, I would probably be playing the 9-Hole Oak Trail course, as that is $100 more expensive than one of the normal courses. Anyway, my question is, is it worth it to pony up the money and play Oak Trail, or should I maybe save up and play Lake Buena Vista/Palm/Magnolia once instead of Oak Trail 3-5 times.

If you have the time, there is a LPGA course just west of Daytona Beach. So if you have a car, go east on I-4, exit on 92 East and turn left on LPGA Boulevard. Getting their phone numbe shouldn't be too hard, I wish I had it for you. My husband plays there all the time and says it is a really nice course. Have a good time!

its absurd to go all the way out to daytona, the orlando area has more than its fair share of excellent golf in and out of the Disney Resort.

If you truly love golf then youll want to play was much as you can afford which means playing the 9 hole course. if your just a simply weekend duffer and don't anticipate playing a ton then play the better ones once.

the disney courses are supposed to be pretty good - but check around orlando has tons of top courses semiprivate and public. of coruse the two most famous are iselesworth and bay hill but good luck getting on those.

Thanks for the help. I will be staying on property for the whole week without a car, so I was anticipating on playing Disney courses, especially since they provide free transport to the course from the hotel.

Also, I heard there is a good mini-golf course at Fantasia Gardens, with real grass, bunkers, etc., in lieu of the normal. I will be staying at the Swan/Dolphin, so I can walk there, but should I check this place out one afternoon.
