Looks rather ugly to me, http://auto.consumerguide.com/auto/new/reviews/full/index.cfm/id/23230.htm. More pic's from various angles if you click on the image shown.

When I first saw it, I thought it was ugly too, and one of my friends said the rear of the car looks like a butt.  Smile

The car's design is growing on me except for its front fascia and headlights. It looks like Honda borrowed some design cues from the Insight (their hybrid-electric car). The fit and finish appears to be very good and I'm sure reliability is not questionable, but I would not buy one based on looks.

What used to be a stylish, no nonsense sports sedan has become a bonafide "chick car".

I loved my 90 Accord. Drove it 7 years. They lost me with the 97 design. And I'm certainly not comin back for this one.

Yes I wonder to why it went from style to crass, what BMW's 3 series was to the rest of the world the Honda Accord enjoyed that status here in Pakistan, sadly it got too expensive and from 1990 onwards just a few made it here and gradually it lost its hold in the market, people either got rich and into the BMW 3 series or Merc 180 class craze or spiralled downwards to the now locally assembled but as good as imported Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. One car company that would do well in Pakistan is Audi, I wonder why they never set up shop here. The A4 and A6 models especially are perfect for this market.

This has been beat to death here already. However people always mention reliability of Honda's. I know their engines are amazing, but beyond that, I really don't consider them to be that much better than many other cars. Trust me, Honda's are great, and I would buy one without hesitation. But they have rusted out very quickly in the past, and you do see mid 90's models with plenty of rust here in Canada. Also, lately they've been having lots of problems with automatic transmissions, and they even increased the warranty on the transmissions because of that. I've also heard of numerous control arm and expensive CV joints as issues with many Hondas. The RSX has suffered from a large number of blown engines, however that is more likely because of the stupid drivers who miss a shift, thinking they are really cool speed shifting, then destroying their engine by shifting from 2nd to 1st instead of 3rd when approaching the redline of 2nd gear.

My point is, Honda reliability, especially long term isn't as great as the image would suggest. Besides their bulletproof engines, the cars themselves are just as susceptible to break downs as many others, and the care one puts into a car is still the number one way to ensure a reasonably reliable car in the long run.
