Newscasters Changing Stations

Thu Jan 02, 2003 10:54 am

Can anyone tell me why newscasters keep changing stations while doing the exact same thing at the new station?
In the LA news market, it's basically been the same faces for the last 10-15 years....except that they just keep changing stations.
What is the point? Are they getting raises every time they switch? Why don't local stations hire some new faces??

They work on contracts, for a specified period of time. Some are contracts are not renewed, some folks like a change, and some folks negotiate a better deal.

That's Entertainment!  Smile
