I used www.frommers.com to get an idea of what to do.
Then I went to the local library and took out the Frommers Book: Australia from $50 a day.-----It was a great book to have on hand.
OK, Syndey has Excellent food in Darling Harbour-> right in the Harbour overlooking this lil pond, there was this funny pizza place with an open front. Check it out.
Great walks in the Harbor area itself. The Syndey Explorer Bus was a sweet deal. Look into it.
See if you can book a show at the Opera house. Check DATES NOW. This was the only thing we did not get to do.
Take a day trip (if you are into Hiking) into the Blue Mountains. You will see some magnificient scenery and maybe even a few roos. We went with Oztrek.
Take a day trip to the wineries.
Red Carpet Wines was the BEST
one we took and our driver's name was Mike. The trip was 150% better with him as our driver!!! And we've done many wine trips.
The day that we went to the wineries with Red Carpet was my birthday. Turns out the driver Mike had the same birthday as well. If you go, ask if he remembers a guy in summer of 2001 who shared his birthday.
Fell free to email me. We kept a daily journal of our activities throughout the 3 week trip we took. So I have good detailed info.
