In The Market For A Palm Pilot

Wed Jan 08, 2003 1:40 am

Hello--

I'm in the market for a palm pilot. What I am wondering is when is a good time to go out looking for one? Seeing as it is just after the holidays, are there still good models out? When do new models get released?

If you have one, what model do you have and are you happy with it?

I'm looking around $300 maximum and I would love to get one with a color screen.

Thanks!
-Chris

About all I can say on this subject is: Go Ebay. They're very often less than half the store price, still brand new. Although, brand new, top of the line, high demand models are more expensive.

I personally have just an m100. All I needed was something I could store phone numbers, directions, and a few notes and such in it. Works perfectly for my needs.

Go to http://www.korossy.org/palm/, this is one of my friend's site, and he is very obsessed with Palms, and gives good information, and if you email him, will give you more.

The Sony Clie is a really neat palm pilot. It has a built in digital camera, MP3 player, remote control for your tv, a full keyboard, can connect wirelessly to the internet. But its pretty pricey.

hello,

Yes i was recently looking to purchase a palm spending no more then around $300 with a color screen. I decided to purchase a Dell Pocket PC. It runs on windows and is color. (like a miniature computer). I believe that is the best purchase for your money's worth. They currently have 2 models. One is for 250 running off of a 300mhz chip and a faster one with 400mhz for $350. Both have a $50 mail in rebate until around the end of the month.

good luck
