Go Canada, maybe France should send a bill to the US for having helped them to become independant ?
About the statue of Liberty, if you don't want it any more, ok, I'm ok to see her back in France. It's funny to see how some ppl in the US love to destroy some French symbols (wine, etc) to see how mad they are about us. But so why don't they try to destroy the Statue de la Liberté (yes, she's got a French name now, after all now the French fries are called freedom fries, why shouldn't the statue of liberty get a new name too) ?
Why don't the anti-French people ban surgical instruments (Ambroise Paré), mechanical calculator (Blaise Pascal), the car (the official first car which was steam-driven was made by Nicolas Cugnot), the hot air balloon (the Montgolfier brothers, the parachute, the lighter-than-air dirigible, thea"appertistation" and "pasteurisation" processes, the stethoscope, the hydrometer and alcoholometer, the printed language for the blinds, the gyroscope, the lead-acid battery, the movie camera, the neon lamp, the Minitel (it's not known around the world, only in Fance, but it's the first major public interactive computer network)...
If you want more:
Of course, France is not a big country, the French people are surely not the best people in tje world. But France palyed its role in the history, although it seems to disappoint some of you. It's easy to make fun of a country you don't know. It's as easy as deciding torename "French fires" to "Freedom fries".
No, we the French people are not perfect. We made mistakes in the past and we'll make mistake in the future.
But no country, no people is greater or worse than us. We all have our qualities and our defaults.
Go Canada, to me an intelligent person is someone who can think farther than the usual "clichés", I hope you understand what I mean.
