"Scratch that...Why is no one else taking the initiative to deal with NK?
All the others are avoiding it, and NK refuses to deal with anyone other than the US even though it has nothing to do with the US."
That's pretty much the way it seems to be. I've read an article in a German magazine (Der Spiegel) recently, it was about a trip to North Korea. The first thing you'll hear in that country is how great the two Kims, father and son, were/are. The second thing you'll hear is how evil the US is. But strangely, the thing you'll hear from officials is that Kim Jong Il will only talk to President Bush - "from peer to peer".
It's not only weird, it also shows off Kim's image of himself.
Furthermore, I think dealing with North Korea would be a very good opportunity for liberating people. Since this is what GWB is always talking about, I think it would be good to try and use it. He could save people from starving, freezing, living in caves and being shot while trying to escape if he figured out a way of dealing with Kim. And he would get support from a larger part of his allies.
"It seems that the U.N. is only good for words and when there is a need for action, it relys on the U.S."
, I forgot how reluctant the US has always been to employ its military power.
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.
