Voices From The Gulf: Yes To War

Tue Mar 18, 2003 5:56 am

Rather than change the name of French Fries, why weren't the idiot pro-war congressmen finding and having press conferences for eloquence like this? :

I was and am against war, completely against the Administration waging it, and am still terrified of worst case scenarios, but I will not be feebly close minded and not admit much good can come from it.

Our military will buy us much honor and nobility.....capital, alas, our President is far too careless with.

I must agree with Dc10guy. I am against the war and feel that it will put a huge bullseye on the US as a target for terrorists with, "Look what the infidels did to Iraq, let's make them pay". However, after reading that article, I hope that victory is swift, concise and total for our troops overseas - nothing less is acceptable! I sincerely wish it had not come to this point but, now that the brink has passed, let our victory and our cause be just and protect our soldiers!

The lesson is that monsters and dictators are fine and tolerable, as long as they remain our friends. If not, we declare war. Otherwise, they can gas, behead, torture, slaughter, declare war on neighboring nations with impunity - and often with weapons made in the US of A.

At least Hanoi Jane didn't toast the good health of the Viet Cong with champagne, as Rummy did with Saddam even as this hapless Iraqi woman was probably running for her life in 1987.

The one shining moment of Glory in recent years was our decision to intervene in the Balkans. In this impending Iraqi war, concern for tortured civilians is a mere afterthought.
Atheism is Myth Understood.

Hi there,
Don't let one article fool you.
Why is it then that Saudi isn't
anticipating in the upcoming war???
If you know to answer this question,
you would realize that this posting is rather
meaningless.
