Well, I plan to be in Spain for a month this Summer (learning Spanish, of course!). I'd be in Madrid, but if I'm in Barcelona I'll buy you a drink and we'll talk.
And, I must say, I would certainly care if anyone protested against me anywhere. When President Bush came into office he told the nation that he was "a uniter, not a divider". I honestly have not seen the country this divided on any issue since, well - his election! I see the planet as a global community. A protest in Spain would have a lot of impact of my policy. Sure, I care more about the USA than Spain (or any Country), but it is my firm belief that the United States must take its place as a member of the international community of nations who are peaceful.
I am disturbed by a growing Anti-French trend in the United States. While I feel this war is unjustified, and I feel the French should have a right to their opinion, its not very nice of them to be so uncooperative with an ally. Still, I don't agree with renaming "French fires" "freedom fries".
But I'm not here to bash on President Bush. He is my president and deserves my respect, even though I cannot give him my support nor can I agree with most of his political views.
