-53 that everybody made it out of.
Then you had that AH
-64 that reported taking enemy fire then went off the air. Reported later that it had a "Hard Landing" but flew back to base under it's own power. My theory is that they went low to get under the shooting and kicked up a duststorm or brownout. Which caused them to lose contact with the ground and hit rising terrain. Pure speculation on my part but a brownout cause the first deaths for US forces in Afghanistan when an hovering Air Guard Blackhawk lost visibility and flipped killing two guys in the back.
Then you have this CH
-46 that crashed with 16, 4 Yanks, 12 Brits 9 miles inside the Kuwaiti border. That one, might be interesting if a full report on the accident is done, The Sea Knight has a pretty checker history of late, mostly relating to the age of the airframe. Forces Canada has replaced theirs (finally!) named Labador with the EH
-101 Comorant. The Osprey Tilt rotor is supposed to be the replacement in US service.
I hope that these are the only crashes but I doubt that will be the case unfortunately.
