"But this is a very difficult situation. It's hard to know what anyone should do. I'm just like anyone else--I'm just watching it unfold...What we're hoping to do is bring joy to the world at this moment--nothing else, I'm not a politician."

I think that I have a similar stance about the war to his.

Actually, I am even more impressed by the fact that Sir Paul didn't try to use his celebrity status to come down on either side of this matter (pro or con). Too bad many other entertainment-industry celebrities don't take his lead, shut their flapping pie-holes (i.e., the fat carpet-muncher Rosie O'Donnell, Martin Sheen, Cher, Mike Farrell, Barbara Streisand, Susan Serandon, etc), and do what we pay them for - entertaining us!

I'm impressed with Paul's statement too. Other 'celebrities' could learn from his example.
