MOAB,Fuel/Air Munitions....

Wed Mar 26, 2003 5:09 pm

Does the fuel/air bomb have a place in this Iraq war?

I have yet to hear of one being used? Are they saving this weapon for a special occasion?

This would be a good a time to use one as ever....

Is the new MOAB 20,000 pound monster a fuel/air weapon?

FAE Detonation.....

No, MOAB is not an FAE.
FAEs are excellent for use against soft targets like groups of troops or trucks out in the open or wooden buildings.
MOAB has a similar function, but uses different explosives (rather, an FAE has hardly any explosives at all but relies on a small spark setting off an explosion in a large cloud of kerosine (or diessel fuel) vapour).
I wish I were flying
