Run Your Own LAN?

Do you have a lan at home?

What sort?

I have a TAN/WTAN, all running 128 bit encryption ... and have everything from the PDA's to the kiddies pc's connected to it.

PC's on the fixed TAN have gig cards and gig switch.

I figured you would have some sort of lan with the simultaneous posting from you and Glenn.

Of course BNE,

I have 16 pc's here all networked together as well as 2x PDA's. We aren't lucky enough for ADSL so we're stuck on dial up but we're running ICS at the moment (as the Linux server kept going feral and costing me a fortune in phone calls). Works pretty well until he starts screening and then I can't do anything.  Angry

and BNE, it's not big enough to be a lan, it's a TAN....

I've got 5 PC's sharing a 512K DSL connection thru a router and hardware firewall. Used to have a smoothwall box, but I got the sh!ts with it. I'd have to say mine is a Tiny Area Network too Bron :P
