Operation: Rescue Klax

Thu Apr 03, 2003 11:29 am

I'm assembling A.net's best for a super-high-priority mission:

Rescuing KLAX from Fran...Freedom, where he is currently being held.

A planning meeting and luncheon has been scheduled, we are all invited.

Also, if anyone knows how to get hold of an S-61, we may need it for the rescue.

Don't listen to them, Clovis. Remember, there are way more spotting opportunities in France than in the States (here, when a cop comes to you at the airport, it's because he's seen you speeding earlier Big grin )

BTW, Clovis. Do they know that your KLAX Id is no longer valid, and that you now go by the name of LFBO ?

I'm leaving on my own. AF3042 TLS-LHR AA137 LHR-LAX

Antoine, you've got to be kidding! I've been hasled 8 times already here, told to once that "LA photographie est interdite sur tout l'aeroport, a partir du moment ou c'est une zone sensible (Airbus) "
 Yeah sure

Besides, LAX has WAY more opportunities then LFBO  Big thumbs up

Lubcha, if you can get that Helo here quick, I'll take it. Otherwise I should be out of here by the end of June.

Sebolino, quick, grab him and hold him while we coerce the UN into passing a resolution!

La photographie est interdite sur tout l'aeroport, a partir du moment ou c'est une zone sensible (Airbus)

frog-beef translation : 'photo is verboten on the airport ground as soon as it is a sensitive zone (Airbus)'

Yeah... that's what they told me when I took that pic :

LAX has WAY more opportunities than LFBO ? Well, I'm sure you'd be hassled way more often than in TLS. One month ago, I spotted at 7 different airports in the same day without seeing a single cop ! (and at one airport, without seeing a single plane  Wink/being sarcastic but that's not the problem). On these forums, I learned this week that in the States, you can be arrested for spotting (well, okay, the same guys who write that also write that one French out of two is a fervent Saddam supporter - btw, you+me, that make two Frenchpeople. Where is the third ? oh yeah Sebolino.. maybe the theorie is true) wow, look how I've digressed Big grin

Anyway... KLAX does not need to be fried !!!

Antoine, after having drank a whole bottle of Avgas tonight

LOL Antoine.

I have never been hassled at LAX, even after 9/11. I sat by the fence with huge binoculars writting down regs and the cops never stopped.

one French out of two is a fervent Saddam supporter - btw, you+me, that make two Frenchpeople. Where is the third ? oh yeah Sebolino.. maybe the theorie is true)

That was freakin HILARIOUS!  Big thumbs up
Sebolino IS a fervent Saddam Supporter!!! Big grin

The UN should pass a resolution to get me out of here. They can send in inspectors and see how my grades have gone down since I've gotten here, and my drinking has gone up  Laugh out loud When I'm drunk I forget I'm in France  Big grin

Ok, who wants to hook Clovis up with the Escalade & the BBJ? Does he want some sort of special attention after he gets back? (washdown by the fire trucks on the taxiway, rap concert, ceremony, etc.)

I think medals are in order...He survived the hell of an extended stay in France...Think of the metal anguish he's gone through.

I'm just glad he's still alive.

Heheheh, there's even worse than France or the USA, last summer LY was flying to GVA, Switzerland with 747's and they had El Al "security" (yeah right...) check out people taking photographs. I was prevented from taking some at the fence, so I went to another place, got another better view and uploaded these :
