Have You Ever Made Or Eaten Lamingtons?

Fri Apr 04, 2003 11:52 pm

Hey guys,

L A M I N G T O N S

Who has eaten them, has made them or have heard of them..

Another Aussie desert treat that is yum yum yum.

I remember the venerable lamington drives we had in high school, particularly the ones against Ronnie Reagen.. lol

Go 80's.

I don't think you would be Australian if you hadn't made and eaten Lamingtons. Matter of fact pretty sure it's a requirement for Citizenship. (Gotta keep Kiwis out somehow)

Now for the unaware american question. What in God's creation is a lamington?

A lamington is a sponge cake that is cut into squares and dipped in a chocolate sauce and then coconut. The best lamingtons are then cut in half and filled with fresh cream (not that cheap cr.p immitation stuff).

Yum
