The US army are using howitzers in Iraq. Question is how do you aim those things? Same for morters. How accurate are they?

I used have a good buddy that was in an 8 Inch Howitzer unit before those went away about 1991.

Said they where able to bounce the shells under duece and halfs set up as targets and hit what was on the other side.
