How Many Pointless Threads Can The Aussies Start?

Sun Apr 06, 2003 4:34 am

I mean, seriously. I smell a conspiracy here!  Laugh out loud

We have ADG AND Mx5_boy starting thread after thread after thread! Sticky tape, Mx? ADG wanting to know about penis extensions?

Seems it's an Aussie "counterstrike" to draw attention away from that little story emminating from the Middle East.

I think we need another good, old-fashioned "lets-talk-about-the-war" thread.  Wink/being sarcastic

(it's tongue-in-cheek, mates)

No! Those posts by our Aussie mates are a welcome diversion from the war posts, and rightfully so. Big grin

It's getting old. Very old.

But I must ask, however, mb.
What's with the clown thing? Yer killin' me with those snippets!
I must say that I last struck another human being in 1984. It was a mime.
So I can relate in a way, but not with that degree of passion.

The whole Pointless thread posting has gone to a new low since the Aussies began their posting... They will never match up to the prestigious TMPTE 3 &4  Big thumbs up (You rock TWAL1011, Kolobokoman, Ybacpa, Lapper, and the rest TMPTE supporters!)

Instead of Bitching about it, the Aussies will just do it  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

What actually defines a "pointless thread"?

I can't see how any thread that has a single reply can be "pointless". Last time I looked we were free to talk about "non_aviation" issues in this forum.

If a thread doesn't interest you, don't read it.

ADG,

Again someone has a different opinion than you. They have a right to respond and express displeasure to your pointless threads as much as you do to making pointless threads.

You obviously have made it a point to get together with the Aussie peanut gallery and post pointless threads. I think your motive is to stir the pot and see what happens; we also have the right to point this out and report our displeasure.

Continue posting it's your right but it’s also our right to be indignant.

Thanks,

TechRep

Well said Techrep.

ADG. Again someone has a different opinion than you.

She doesn't like to be disagreed with. A poster from the US was called an "a hole" by her for doing so earlier today.

I think your motive is to stir the pot

That is her motive. She's offended alot of people on & off anet.

Yyz,

Someone in Australia got called a stupid cow 3 times by you .. you have no credibility when you add that to the fact that you cannot supply facts to back up your statement.

What's an aholer by the way? I can't find that in any dictionary. Looks to me like a typo.

Hey ADG.....in the last 24 hours....you've offended Techrep, 4-holer, myself, Alpha1....each one of us has protested your anet "etiquette" and you've just thrown it back in our faces.

I wonder who needs to change? Us? Or the elevated ADG? Dilemma....dilemma...dilemma.......

Yyz717, please don't presume to speak for me. ADG, Glenn and Mx5_boy haven't offended me at all that I can see. I find it amusing that so many posts have been started by them, and I don't think it was coincidental  Wink/being sarcastic but I am certainly not offended.

you've offended Techrep,

someone who has offended most of europe in the last 24 hours

4-holer

someone who has taken offense where none was intended

myself,

Hypocritical statement, not worth a response

Alpha1....,

par for the course.

each one of us has protested your anet "etiquette" and you've just thrown it back in our faces.

Relevance?

I wonder who needs to change? Us?

TechRep posted something he felt was right and he put a lot of time/effort into his post, he needs to accept others do not agree with him and go with that. I suspect he does accept that because for the most part his responses address the issues that he fails to agree with. I see no problem with that. I don't recall seeing him run around calling people stupid cows because he doesn't like what has been said.

4holer needs to accept that typos happen somtimes, I issued an apology for that typo if he doesn't accept that it's his right. I can't see him requiring any change as he's not the one making a federal case out of the issue.

Alpha1, well he should never change, I like him just as he is *kiss kiss*.

Which leaves just you ....

I neither like you or think you address issues. I feel you believe that you are right 100% of the time and that makes you arrogant and dishonest. Time and time again I catch you out either misinterpreting or misrepresenting things that have been said. You need to change.

Or the elevated ADG? Dilemma....dilemma...dilemma.......

Coming from you who feels that the way to win an arguement is to lie and call people names that's funny

No dilemma there, you're the one with the problem. Build a bridge yyz.

Build a bridge yyz.

I suggest you build a bridge to the families of the dead UK pilots (who you were making fun of, in another thread).

I suggest you build a bridge to the families of the 9-11 tragedy who you maligned in another anti-American rant recently.

It seems the bitter little isolated island of ADG could do with a number of bridges.

(Remember, he is to call himself the "god" of the board! Harrumph!)

Whats with the "BUSH in 2008" thing? It's impossible for him to run for 3 terms, 2 term max.

Could the poster possibly be implying that he wants President Bush to be able to run for office after serving 2 terms? How about this instead.

I went to Town High 1976 - 1980. Lived in Railway Estate from 1963 to 1985 and still regularly stage through Townsville (overnighting at Mum's in Bamford lane Kirwan) depending on where I am flying / driving to.

Yes it is a small world.

Did you by chance get your Warbirds interest from Sid Beck's?

After starting a cadetship with the Townsville Harbour Board I then wasted my time starting a Degree at JCU and then finished it off at QIT in Brisbane. Then worked in Rockhampton with QR, Newman (WA) with BHP-Utah as it was then, back to Brisbane with a Consultancy, up to here to work for the republic (Comalco) which then became the evil empire (Rio Tinto), so left to do contract work "outside" (but still based in Weipa as Wife continued to be enslaved by the evil empire) as well as finishing a Graduate Diploma, then took a FIFO job in WA (earning heaps of points with AN and lost em all because of the Kiwis), and now am a sub contractor to a Business working mainly in the Bowen Basin (hence the regular trips on the QFLink New Generation Caribou) as well as trying to progress (badly) on a Masters.

So never really worked in Townsville apart from the Harbour Board and vacation jobs at QR and Copper Refineries.

And you?

No warbirdz interest came just generally. I guess WW2 played a significant factor for me so it grew from There.

I have only been to Sid Becks once, and that was in 1978. It was impressive. About 10 years ago when i went back to Tvl, I went out to Sids farm to see how the Airacobra had come along but he had relocated further north.

Bummer

Yeah Mareeba (he continues - this time through a flu haze - yuk!) or more accurately on the Atherton side of the road from Mareeba to Atherton.

I've been past there a number of times usually at all sorts of inappropriate hours so haven't been able to have a look inside yet but it looks pretty impressive. There's a Matilda tank (unfortunately with a different or fake turret - something like a Lee / Grant) out the front.

Mareeba used to have an airshow but can't remember if it was every year - you would probably know of course.

Now's here's a suggestion - if there is a Mareeba Airshow why don't we make that an opportunity for an Aussie A.N get together and also try to organise some of those visits in Cairns?
