Iraqi Ladies Etiquette

According to Iraqi Minister of Information...

It is confirmed that Iraqi ladies are to continue to walk 3 paces behind their husband - following him as he enters buildings, or stores, etc...

One exception - according to the Minister of Information...
Iraqi ladies are supposed to walk 3 paces IN FRONT of husbands -
... when crossing mine fields ...

Yes Glenn of course! Didn't you hear? He got a job on FOX News Channel...replacing Geraldo Rivera...

Look at it this way, at least he won't reveal the ACTUAL position of US troops like Rivera did!  Laugh out loud

Sort of reminds me of a guy who once told me he makes his wife drive home when their both drunk. Even though she is a very dangerous driver even when she's sober. (She apparently treats traffic lights like Christmas decorations) That way if they get caught he can keep his airline pilot licence.

How barbaric....

Why don't you report him?

You assume that I have the power to report this person to the authorities. I don't. He's not in this country. Or continent for that matter.

Report him for what? He's not breaking a law. Just because someone is a pilot doesn't meant they can't drink on their time off. I've been known to have a glass of wine or a beer with dinner, then have someone else drive. Even though I am below the limit, the risks for me as a pilot are just too great. Nothing illegal with that.

I think you're missing the point. The original post implies that it is barbaric to have such disregard for your wife that you would sacrifice her safety and the chance of her arrest for your safety and interests.

In the pilot example, he gets his wife to drive when they are equally inebriated and incapable of driving (both have consumed alcohol beyond the legal limit) knowing full well that she is a dangerous driver when she is in full control of her senses.

I suppose in a sense, the land mine example, shows more of a sense for self preservation and not quite as much disregard for the safety of the public...but what the hell. It has some parallels...

I know....I just wanted to see Airplay do the backstroke with the following response:

The "backstroke"? Are you implying that I'm lying about this?

Those "respect" ratings are also known as "brown nose points". If you bow to the lowest common denominator, you're bound to be the popular one!

I don't add anyone to my list because I think the whole idea is stupid. So I don't make points by "swapping" respect.

In the end, I respect myself for upholding my principles no matter how unpopular they are with people who can't comprehend what I write...
