Has anyone ever been to Iran?

Twice. Why?

I wrote a few lines about the airport under the "Transferring in THR" (or something like that) topic...

I was in Tehran from 1977 to 1978. Not a good time.

Used to be a PanAm pilot... we used to fly to THR... stayed at the Hilton...
That was in the early 1970s... last time I was there was late 1978...
As our layover in THR was generally long, had the time to visit other cities...
Went to Shiraz many times, Tabriz a couple of times, once to Esfahan...
One of my friends was Iran Air pilot, he finally made it to USA -
Back then Iran was a great place to go to, envoyed much...
People were nice, the Savak (Shah's secret police) was not so nice...
