We only have one prom a year and its called Senior Prom. I don't know why they don't have Junior Prom where I went. I did have a blast at my senior prom with a great and friendly girl.

Mine is on the 24 of May.

Our prom is both for Juniors and Seniors because there are only about 55 students in each grade (American international school-Vienna, Austria).

NWA-Get a hotel room, get a girl and have fun. I sure as hell did (for any of the less mature members (JCS, KROC) it was with my girlfriend. And no Josh she didn't go with you or anything like that.)

My Prom is comming up on April 25th or 26th. Can't remember. Since nobody in the Junior class that I am a part of has any school spirit or any care for the school we have no money to put on prom. As a result, any Junior that wants to go the prom must pay $75 per person not per couple. Get that ontop of tuxes for the guys and dresses for the girls it comes out to be a pretty expensive evening. So me and a bunch of my friends have decided to skip the dancing and just get drunk. That would happen anyways. It will be interesting to see how many kids actually pay the $75 to go for a few hours.

I had a blast at prom though. Our class was so big only seniors could go to prom, and we had to eat dinner before the actual dance. I took my girlfriend to a real nice resturant. Then the limo took us to the prom. The girls here always pay for the tickets, like 50 i think for a couple. Guys pay for the dinner etc.. In my case my girlfriend helped me pay for my portion of the limo because I quit my job. But it was so worth the $$. I highly recommend a hotel!

Wow...how eloquently put...  Big grin

In our Catholic high school though, school dances were pretty pathetic, and the same thing carried over for prom. No one would show up...to the point that prom king and queen were awarded at an assembly the Friday before. It was a complete joke. That being said, I played in a hockey tournament in Nashville over prom weekend during Junior Prom. And for senior prom we (my friends and I) just took our dates out to dinner (no tux, no limo), then drove the 2 hours from our houses to my friend's lakehouse in South Carolina. That was an absolute blast.

At my school, anyone can go to the prom, but underclass have to go with an upperclass. Of course, upper class can go solo, but what's the fun in that?

Oh god...Yes my Senior Prom is coming up in about a month.

Except there are a few things on my mind...

1) They are having the dance in a public Park that is notorious for gang shoot outs, YES, GANG SHOOTOUTS...PEOPLE HAVE DIED THERE.  Wow! Thats got me a lil worried cause i want to live through High school

2) May 3rd at 2300 the First CRJ200 for Delta Connection will be landing at Lynchburg and I gad orgionaly planned on going out to the Airport to watch this aviation Milestone here in Lynchburg take place (They will be stoping all Turboprop service EMB-120 from ATL May 4th)

3) I don't know how landing a date will go...I have a few that would go with me but they are rather young...13-15  Wow! Yeah 13-15 and to be frank, thats a lil' too young for me!

Any suggestions?

Yeah- it doesn't matter what grade/year your date is in.

Last year, as a sophomore I got asked to the junior prom. This year I'm going with either a soph or a freshman to my junior prom, which is sometime in May, I think?

We have a prom, which I think is one Junior/Senior Prom. Freshmen or Sophomores can go, but only with an upperclassman. I don't know how many people actually go....I heard our Homecoming was dominated by rap music, which a lot of people weren't too happy with.

I was sick for our Homecoming, that was a good thing I guess, considering I waited too long to start asking people & was "shut down" by the only person I would go with that I asked. I'm gonna have to make reservations this year.

BartiniMan- Just like in the movies- That's definitely the stereotype, one I'm almost positive everybody takes seriously at my school. People probably go to dinner, to the dance, to the "after-prom", and then f*ck. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the way it was. We already have people getting pregnant during the rest of the year....wonder how many more do on that night.

Damn "American Pie"!!

My senior prom is on June 24th. It's at a really fancy local hotel. Post-Prom party is at my school. I'm part of a big class, 350 graduating this year. And I'm not even taking a senior to the prom. It's going to be pretty crouded I think.

As the father of a daughter, I always liked what a coworker did for his daughters dates...He invited the fellow into the den, sat accross from him with a shotgun accross his lap and said "Let's get one thing clear...if THAT (pointing to the fellows crotch) goes off, then THIS (holding up the shotgun) goes off". Think about that before "pounding' some guys daughter. Hell, IMHO, the guy was going easy on the kid.

Good thing you won't be dating my daughter NWA...This 6'4" 240 pound dude would give you a run for your ass whipping money. One can only hope that you and AA61 are blessed with many daughters...I don't think you'll be greeting them at the door and saying "Fuck her hard and put her away wet boy". I hope like hell you guys at least use a rubber. I know a lot of wimpy guys who know some REALLY good attorneys to help insure that you help support the kid you make.

NWA I assume the big event was on Saturday just gone and I'm on the edge of my seat, did you lay pipe or not ? Smooth talking class-act like you, how could you miss.

We didn't have Proms as such but I always loved formal school dances and yes, with some "success".

Prom is THIS Saturday. We have a mystery trip, and I want to go, so no slanging wood for me. Go-Karts seem more fun.
