Funny Responses To American Anti-war Protestors

This video was reportedly shot in Alaska, with sub-zero temperatures.

And if I had just one sticker to put on my vehicle (which will never happen), it would be this:

How about this?

1-800-kiss-bushs-ass

or

1800-joint-the-army

or

1-800-have-your-children-fight

The Pro-War mongers (arm chair generals) still don't understand the difference between supporting the troops and supporting the war?

How dumb can they be?

I'm anti-war (read anti-Bush and co.), but not anti-American, anti-flag, anti-troops.

Since when did the pro-war movement own the flag?

I dunno, that's a pretty redneck thing to do. Puts me more in the mind of some good ol' boys out to raise a little hell than people making a passionate statement. (The video)

Well, it's not particularly offensive, but I don't find it particularly funny, either. Maybe if they were pelting the protesters with Jaysit's nuclear Gummi Bears...  Smile

I think it's pretty funny, because I believe a lot of those protestors are extremely ignorant.

I've met several of them protesting on the streets, and I listen to their beliefs. Whenever I ask them why they feel the way they do towards Bush and Iraq, they never give me a good answer.

The most popular answer is something along the lines of "Bush is a warmongeror", or "We are killing innocent people over there, and not helping the Iraqi people". Whenver I remind them of the 2 million who have died under Saddam from murder or famine, they then are silent and can't respond.

These people are not necessarily anti-American/pro-Saddam, but a lot of them sure seem to be ignorant, and blinded by their hate of Bush.

The owner of that truck isn't so much patriotic as he is paranoid....paranoid some great leftist horde is driving every third car on the road, ready to set flame to Old Glory.

He's also an idiot. 1-800-LEAVE THE USA is 1*800*532*8384*372. It'd be fun to pull him over and say "Hey....the only place in the world they use14 prefix phone numbers is Siberia, you commie pinko bastard."

(Also did you notice the side of the truck says "United We Stand", while the rear tells everyone to piss off?)

What a swell egg. By the way, John Wayne, the bottom of the US flag in your flatbed seems to be mopping against the floor. No good patriot would display it that way.  Smokin cool

My girlfriend's like that. She's convinced we Americans (herself included) are the scum of the earth, and that we exist to screw over other nations and people. She raves about this shit whenever she's been drinking, and makes up supposedly factual scenarios to support her arguments. It gets really tedious.

That was a good video. It made me smile, and it says exactly what I feel. I just stare at the anti-war protestors, and give them very bad looks. I even yelled at them I said "You people are ignorant, go home." They are lucky I am not like the guy in the video.

Funniest part of that picture is that there are people who are so stupid that they'll drive around like that at any time other than footy grand final week.

If you think that sticker is funny would you then laugh if it was reworded to:

"If you don't agree with me, fook off"

because that's exactly what it's saying.

Scorpio- How does supporting the war and the troops make us rednecks? I have no accent, and I was born in the north. The redneck definiton is someone who is lower class with less than all their teeth, who lives in a house than can be moved, with a truck that was new when Saturday Night Fever came out, and who like the confederate flag. I do not fall into any of those catagories. (Sorry if I offended anyone!)

It doesn't. All the 'woo woo we rule and all you pinko leftist commies who are against the war are anti-American idiots and traitors' manure being spread here by some is what makes them rednecks.

Or all who ACT that way.

Doing one it, and laughing at it is a completely different thing. You know that. Jumping off a building and and watching someone do it is different.

Ah the video...shows how much "freedom of speech" is regarded here in the good old USA.

But I don't get the "Shock - that's what many forgot a terrorist could do" thing is all about? Are they implying that the yeehaw water throwers were terrorists, since their intent was to shock? But it does bring up a good point - they are sort of admitting that the war was supposed to be against terrorists - specifically the ones who carried out the attacks on the WTC. So...what did Iraq have to do with that again? Oh....I forgot...the Iraqi's are ARABS...you know...sand niggers...sheetheads....what have you. They LOOKED like the guys who did the attacks, so what they hell...lets just turn their little dirt world into a glass parking lot.

It's one thing to be patriotic. It's something scary to lump all people in with a few...you know Hitler didn't like the Jews. So he killed them. Looks like this "we support our troops" video is just the work of a bunch of racist rednecks. I'd love to hear their take on what we should do in Iran, Syria, Jordan and Saudi Arabia. Face it patriots - you won't be happy until we turn the entire middle east into a glass parking lot, will you now.

There is a Bob and Mark Show on one of the local stations here in ANC.

I wonder if this is the same group.

NWA742, you may find that funny, but after an experience I had the other day, I find it more alarming than funny.

Remember the thread I started on "Support for the Troops vs. Support for Bush"?

Well I emailed that among some family and friends. Mostly, I got a response that was supportive, if not in agreement. Yet one alleged friend of mine basically called me every name in the book, said I was a traitor, that I should go to France, adn crap like that.

Why is it that a large, large segement of the population these days seems incapable of accepting others' views? Why is it that, unless you tow the popular line ,and kiss Bush's ass, you're some how un-American or a traitor? Why is it if you were opposed to going to war now, you should just pack up and leave the country.

If these people, who won't tolerate others' had their way, we wouldn't end up in a free nation. We'd end up in a nation where there's only one way to think, one way to act. Sounds more like the USSR than the USA to me.

The guy in that pickup truck can shove it up his ass. 99.999% of those who opposed the war are just as American as he is-probably more so, since most of us don't demand that HE conform to our beliefs.

Alpha 1,

I appreciate your post and your views.

I think you have me wrong though.  Smile

I certainly can accept other people's views. I understand that almost all these protestors are just against the war and nothing else. I don't have any problem with that at all. Just about all of these people are peaceful, patriotic, and American as I am, and I certainly realize that, but there are always exceptions.

On the way home from work, I did meet some protestors down the road from where I live, who were holding up signs of Bush's face in place of Hitler's body, and that makes me sick. These people were not peaceful, they shouted insults towards Bush, through things out on the street, and when I questioned them about their views, they couldn't back them up at all.

So afterwards when I got home, I found the video posted on another forum, I saw that video, and I had in my mind those protestors who I had just had the displeasure of meeting, pictured them in the video, and I couldn't help but get little kick out of it.

However, watching it today, I do realize those are just morons who are attacking peaceful protestors, and it's really not funny.

It was indeed unnecessary to post this on here just calling it "funny", and I apologize.

Thanks for responding,

-NWA742

Alpha 1 what happened to you happens to both sides. In your case, the problem is the extreme left wing "I hate Bush/GOP" anarchy crowds & Hollywood types that seems to dominate the anti-war scene in the media. You are immediately associated with them. If looking through your posts, its clear to see that your position is well thought out and based around the important relevent facts. This is not the same impression you'd get from the someone in orange spiked hair crying 'No Blood for Oil' and comparing Bush to Hitler while dancing around and spitting on cops. But they are the faces of the anti-war point-of-view. On the other side, you get the pro-war people likened to the guy in the truck who comes off as the reckneck type that likes things getting blown up because it makes him feel like a big macho man to be an American and for no other reason. Is it fair? Not really, but its the way it is. The advantage we have in this forum is we've been able to listen to each other throughout and generally been able to distinguish the people with real concerns and the people that tow a line for other motives.

I've no problem with anti-war protestors merely getting their message out. My problem with them would start only when they began to violate MY rights by doing something like lying in the street to snarl traffic. Under such circumstances, my response would simply be to drive OVER them!  Big thumbs up

Yeah AvObserver - maybe so. But the video showed protesters standing on a sidewalk, interfering with no one, getting doused with water because they are somehow "less than patriotic". And to think the "producers" of this movie had the moxie to play "Proud to be an American" as the background. The film makes me feel a lot of things, but pride isn't one of them.

I still haven't been able to locate a computer that will let me view this file.

But since this is apparently the water throwing thing, I should add that the accused is planning to plead guilty, It was almost 40 degree down in Soldonta when it happened.

It happened about three-four days ago and is off the news up here already.
