Carribbean Jazz Project

That's what I'm listening to right now. It's a great CD. I picked it up in the Jazz section at Borders. Give it a listen. You'll start feeling tropical in no time.

Anyway, this is the first CD of the variety that I've purchased, and I did so not knowing if I'd like the music... I took a gamble.

Does anyone else like this sort of music, and if so, what other artists could you recommend?

I do! Though I haven't heard from this project, but i will asap. Now if you like that kind of music (and reading the line-up I can imagine quite well how that must sound), just try the following, it should be similar though with a few more musicians involved:

Jazz Jamaica Al Stars

It's a 20-piece Big band playing Reggae and Jazz combined (and walk on by
alone as big band reggae is worth the whole record).
Try it, I loved it immediately, and I will try Carribean Jazz Project!

Nice Sunday!
I know it's only VfB but I like it!

I'd like to try this one out, but when I search for it, I get two different things.

Could you point me to the one that you bought, NormalSpeed?

Thanks  Big thumbs up

This is the CD that I have, but I guess the group has a couple other CDs out too. It's good stuff. In fact, it was the previous CD in my changer, and it flipped about 5 minutes ago. (I am now listening to "Busted Stuff" from Dave Matthews Band):

Hope this helps,
