Hans Blix the former chief weapons inspector for the United Nations, described Gen. Sadi (Iraq's chief scientist)"extremely knowledgeable and businesslike". He also says that Tariq Aziz Iraqi deputy prime minister always injected politics into discussions about the inspections where Sadi did not. However, Blix also said Gen Sadi's claim that Iraq destroyed all its chemical and biological weapons in the summer of 1991 "had no credibility".
OK fine, but then...
Blix, who headed the "final" round of weapons inspections in Iraq, lashed out against the U.S.-led war in remarks to a Spanish daily newspaper. "There is evidence that this war was planned well in advance. Sometimes this raises doubts about their attitude to the [weapons] inspections," He told El Pais.
So Blix is now the expert on U.S. contingency plans in case he found weapons of mass destruction? Please!
Well, perhaps Mr. Blix if you had six more months of inspections you would have found them. Then what? Well... then what? That waiting game is over. You failed and there was no more time to wait.(obviously, heh!)
Retire already and fade away and realized you and your U.N. buddies failed in TWELVE YEARS to make Saddam give it all up.
Blix is another one who tries to have his cake and eat it too. Except, he has no cake and he isn't even sitting at a table!
Enjoy your retirement. Ask Kofi to join you.
