My favorite things English are:

1. Their comedians. From the members of the legendary The Goon Show to the famous troupe from Monty Python's Flying Circus, English comedians have inspired many comedians around the world even to this day. NBC's Saturday Night Live was strongly influenced by a number of British comedy shows, for starters.

2. Association Football (soccer). The English Premier League is arguably the best "footie" professional league in the world, no contest.

The different accents (the welsh is my favourite, especially when they say the word "trellis")

Bentley is now owned by Volkswagen

At least my Rolls-Royce has a proper engine in it!

Oh and a small piece of trivia

You OWN a Rolls-Royce..

but you DRIVE a Bentley

and there is a big difference

Silverfox:
Embarrassment Thanks for the correction. I always knew BMW stole Rolls Royce and it's a shame.  Sad

The new BMW inspired Rolls looks awful!

What year is your Rolls?
My favorite is the Silver Shadow sedan.

I love it  Laugh out loud

First, he proudly speaks out:
"Rolls-Royce, Jaguar, Aston Martin all owned by FORD the world's greatest car company.  Smile"

Then, he is pushed back to reality:
"Rolls-Royce is NOT owned by ford, but by BMW"

Then, he outrages (and has always known it):
"I always knew BMW stole Rolls Royce and it's a shame.
The new BMW inspired Rolls looks awful!"

Superfly  Smile

BTW, the design of the new Phantom was done in England, just about 40% of the parts are coming from BMW. Pretty much like the Chrysler Crossfire, designed in the USA, engineered and made in Germany. (The Rolls is built in a new factory in England, though.)
